Former England bowler Dominic Cork has slammed batsman Kevin Pietersen for seeking attention, and added that the players in dressing room are sick and tired of hearing news about his antics.
Pietersen hinted at tensions in
the dressing room following his man of the match performance during the
second Test match against South Africa in Headingley.
Cork believes England players are running out of patience with Pietersen, since his public row with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is diverting the focus away from their target of safeguarding their top dog status in Test cricket.
"This isn't a one-off story. What
I'm hearing is that England players are now sick and tired of hearing
about Kevin Pietersen in what is one of the biggest series England play," The Sun quoted Cork, as saying.
"It takes the focus away from exactly what this is all about. It's not about Kevin Pietersen, it's about an England side who are trying to hold on to that No 1 status," he added.
